WASHINGTON -- Moscow, we have a problem.Web surfers expecting to tune into C-SPANrsquo online feed of debate in the House on Thursday instead saw images supplied by the Russian news site RT, which briefly interrupted programming on the networkrsquo website.Spokesman Howard Mortman said the website, c-span.org, was replaced by RT for about 10 minutes. The problem was likely a routing issue because RT is one of the networks that C-SPAN regularly monitors, he said. The network is investigating and troubleshooting this occurrence, Mortman said. The network later said it doesnrsquo;t believe it was hacked. The programming glitch came hours after a power outage interrupted a Senate confirmation hearing for Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., to head the CIA. The hearing rec stanley flask onvened in a different room. The Los Angeles City Council gave final approval Tuesday to a much-anticipated ordinance that will close most medical marijuana dispensaries and curb the so-called Green Rush that swept through much of California in recent years. The ordinance, which passed 9-3, caps the number of dispensaries at 70 and provides guidelines that will push the clinics out of neighborhoods and into industrial areas.Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa must approve the ordinance for it to take effect. City officials believe it will be at least 45 days before they can enforce the new rules. CBSNews Special Report: Marijuana NationEnforcement could be a major effort for the cash-strapped city. No one is exactly sure how many pot clinics there are in Los Angeles - the best estimate is somewhere between 800 and 1,000 - and getting the owners to comply with the ordinance will likely meet resistance. I don t want to say this is an impossible task, but it s going to take a lot more effort than maybe the city realizes at this point, said Robert Mikos, a law professor specializing in federalism and crime policy at Vanderbilt University Law School. Just because the city says, stop what you are doing, doesn t mean dispensary owners are stanley cup going to give up easily. One possible option for dispensaries is to seek an injunction to stop the city from enforcing its ordinance. The ordinance calls for spreadi stanley termosy ng the 70 clinics evenly th stanley botella roughout the city with a community distri

TAMPA, Fla. 鈥?Tracie Wiechmann has taken every precaution during the pandemic, especially for her adult son Christopher. She said though the whole family got vaccinated, they arent sure how much protection he has since he has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. For him, we dont know how protected he is, hes in a medically fragile state, said Wiechmann. She said when the pandemic started, Christopher stayed home from w stanley nz ork and they stopped visits from caregivers to reduce risk. But once he was vaccinated, stanley us they decided to see a doctor for back pain. We were in for a bit of a rude awakening when we went because we kind of had that assumption that healthcare providers would certainly be vaccinated and we discovered that wasnt the case, said Wiechmann.Wiechmann said she learned some staff were not vaccinated and later learned a wheelchair technician and respiratory therapist who arrived for home visits werent either. I spoke to a lot of people after our experience and they were all shocked and I would say 99% stanley cup of the people I talked to assumed healthcare workers were vaccinated. And because they had access to it before the rest of us did, said Wiechmann. And I just want people to know if youre in that situation and you do have a compromised immune system before you go anywhere you call and you ask those questions before you go anywhere. According to the Agency for Health Care Administration, as of June 4, 58.20% of current hospital staff 438,535 received the vaccine. The information is

Washington mdash; President Trump called FBI director Christopher Wray disappointing on Thursday, criticizing him for not doing more to investigate voter fraud, after Wray said there is no evidence of any coordinated fraud ahead of the election. He s been disappointing, Mr. Trump said about Wray in an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo. He doesn t see the voting ballots as a problem. Wray testified before Congress two weeks ago that the bureau has not seen, historically, any kind of coordinated national voter fraud effort in a major election, whether it s by mail or otherwise. Mr. Trump declined to say whether he would re stanley cup place Wray, whom he nominated in 2017, if elected to a second term. The Justice Department, which oversees the FBI, announced charges on Wednesday against a Postal Service worker in New Jersey who is accused of dumping thous stanley cup ands of pieces of mail, including 99 mail-in ballots addressed to residents in West Orange, a heavily Democratic municipality. The investigation was led by agents from the Postal Service s inspector general s office, not the FBI, according to a Justice Departmentrelease. stanley cup Wray was one of several administration officials that Mr. Trump criticized in the interview. He also expressed frustration with Attorney General William Barr, arguing that he had not done enough to prosecute the president s political enemies.Mr. Trump said Barr would either go down in history as the great Mmvy Capitol Police officer dies from injuries in pro-Trump riot

Documents released late Friday show President Trump s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani was in contact with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the months before the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine was abruptly recalled. The State Department released the documents to the group American Oversight in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. They show that Pompeo stanley website talked with Giuliani on March 26 and March 29.Austin Evers, executive director of American Oversight, said the documents reveal a clear paper trail from Rudy Giuliani to the Oval Office to Secretary Pompeo to facilitate Giuliani s smear campaign against a U.S. ambassador. Last week, former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch told House impeachment investigators she felt kneecapped by a smear campaign Giuliani led against her. She was withdrawn from her post in Ukraine in May.The documents released Friday also include a report, that appears with Trump hotel stationery, that appears to summarize a January 23, 2019, interview with Ukraine s former prosecutor general, Victor Shokin. The summary says Giuliani and two business associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were present. Defense spending is about to enter a steep decline that may force the Pentagon to abandon some military missions, shrink the armed forces and perhaps limit the U.S. role in the world, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Tuesday. In one of his final policy speeches before retiring next month, Gates said he has been disappointed by Pentagon efforts thus far to find budget savings. But he also cautioned that further cuts on the scale proposed by some 151; including President Barack Obama 151; will require tough decision cups stanley s on eliminating some weapons and overseas missions. Some in Congress are pushing to cut defense stanley spain even more deeply as part of a broader effort to shrink the government s deepening budget deficits; the shortfall in the current budget year al vaso stanley one is expected to reach $1.5 trillion. That political momentum is reinforced by a perception that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are coming to an end, and that the killing of Osama bin Laden means the war on terror is winding down. Gates, however, is quick to point out that Afghanistan remains unstable and military crises tend to erupt without long lead times.Gates did not spell out his own vision for how to manage such reductions. But he identified several weapons as absolutely critical for the future 151; including a new fleet of aerial refueling planes, more Navy ships and a new fleet of nuclear armed submarines. The IRS issued a rare apology to billionaire investor Ken Griffin for releasing his tax records to the press, as well as to other taxpayers whose information was breached, the tax agency said in astatementon Tuesday. The Internal Revenue Service sincerely apologizes to Mr. Kenneth Griffin and the thousands of other Americans whose personal information was leaked to the press, the IRS said. The apology stems from the case of a former IRS contractor named Charles Littlejohn, who was sentenced earlier stanley cup this year to five years in prison for unauthorized disclosure of tax returns. Littlejohn had provided tax return information for Griffin and other wealthy Americans to nonprofit news organization ProPublica. In a statement to CBS MoneyWatch, Griffin said, I am grateful to my team for securing an outcome that will better protect American taxpayers and that will ultimately benefit all Americans. Beginning in 2021, ProPublica published a series called The Secret IRS Files, which included stanley cup the details of tax returns for thousands of rich taxpayers, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk.
