Simmons responded to a report of a plane crash near the Eagles Nest Airport in Augusta County.A 1946 North American Navion aircraft was in the process of taking off from the Eagles Nest Airport when it clipped some nearby trees just beyond the runway and crash landed into a small pond in an open field/pasture.The pilot, William R. Repealing this tax credit would save the Commonwealth nearly $700,000. A tax credit for donating to a political campaign is not the kind of give-away that Virginia taxpayers should have to subsidize.
