The Valley Childrens Advocacy Center is hosting a series of special events throughout April to focus community attention on the issues of child abuse in our community.Rebecca Simons, Executive Director of the Valley <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.at>stanley thermobecher</a> Childrens Advocacy Center in Staunton, shared some shocking statistics: Approximately five children die each day as a result of child abuse.聽 Experts estimate that one in ten children are sexually <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.it>stanley italia</a> assaulted before their 18th birthday.聽 Child abuse is likely the most prevalent public health problem children face, with the most serious array of consequences. The Valley Childrens Advocacy Center is hosting a series of events in April to engage community partners and raise awareness to the prevalence child abuse in our community, promote strategies for preventing child abuse, and allow families to educate their children with fun, exciting, and family-friendly events.Ribbon Cutting Ce <a href=https://www.cup-stanley-cup.us>stanley us</a> remony and Open House- Friday, April 5, 11-5pm. Staff ReportA live performance of the Disney production of Beauty and the Beast is coming to Staunton, presented by the Staunton Performing Arts Center, the group that will restore and renovate the Dixie Theatre and the adjoining Arcadia Building into a two-venue performing arts center. In order to give the community a taste of what will be possible in the new venues, Stauntons own American Idol, Colton Berry, is collaborating with them by producing and appearing in the full production of this spectacular Broadway musical.The shows will be on Thursday through Saturday evenings, Nov. 19-21, at 7:30 and Saturday and Sunday afte <a href=https://www.stanleyusa.us>stanley cup usa</a> rnoons, Nov. 21 and 22, at 3 at the Octagonal Barn of the Frontier Culture Museum. Also appearing with Colton will be local talents Andrea Saunders, Barbara Spilman Lawson, Bob Wright, Bill Martin, and Hank Fitzgerald.
