By DILLON JONESLos AlamosI would like to add to this argument and come from a factual perspective. As Lee Graves letter did not provide information regarding where he got information, here is the website I ;m using to get my data for the math:
fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u...f_weapons_2013.xlsSo
the mathI ;m doing includes sovereign territories of the United States as well. The by DNSUnlocker> numberI ;m going to be working with is 12,253 total murders. Of that, 8,454 by firearms of any given type. If we divide that by 365.25 days accountingfor a leap year , we get approximately 23.15 homicides a day. I ;m not entirely sure that you can kill .15 of a person, but hey rounding u gourde stanley p or down would skew data.Okay so Lee did some simple arithme stanley quencher tic wrong. Who cares Stephanie Nakhleh letter does hav stanley france e a point that it is a tragedy that people are murdered of every by DNSUnlocker> singleday of everysingleyear. It also is arrogant to believegun controlwill fix anything. To use the table again I ;m going to argue that more gun controlis not going to fix anything. Take Texas and California for example who are both on opposite ends of the gun control spectrum. Texas a well-to-do constitutional carry state, where fully automatic weapons are LEGAL has approximately 1,133 homicides for the year of 2013. In the same year, California which has some of the strict
